Introducing a new Sapiens to the world
Sapiens makes the software insurers run on, from underwriting to claims. In one busy season, it set out to become a new company in the eyes of its customers: a new brand, a new AI platform in SapiensAIP, and new ways of showing what its products can do.
Ignite, its biggest customer event of the year, was where all of it would meet the world at once. Every speaker, every product team, and every screen had to look and sound like the new Sapiens by the time the doors opened. No pressure.
We kept coming back to the people on the other end: presenters who'd spent months getting ready, product teams launching something brand new, and customers deciding whether this new Sapiens felt real.
The context
A lot to change, all at once
- A new brand rolling out across the whole company
- SapiensAIP, a new platform that needed a look, a naming structure, and a way to explain itself
- 700+ slides across 60+ speaker decks
- Dozens of presenters, each quite attached to a favorite old file
- Product demos that had to tell one connected story
- Print and event pieces on a deadline that wasn't moving
The role we played
The crew behind the stage
The new brand gave us a beautiful starting point. Our part was making sure it held up everywhere people would meet it, from a sales deck to the keynote stage, so customers only ever saw one Sapiens.
We worked side by side with the Sapiens brand, product, and events teams. We rebuilt decks, kept the templates in step as the brand settled, and sweated the details people only notice when they're wrong: a chart that won't read from row twenty, a logo from two brands ago. AI carried a lot of the heavy lifting. The judgment calls stayed with us.
SapiensAIP needed an introduction of its own. We helped give it a visual identity, drew the graphics that explain how it all fits together, and worked with the C-suite on a naming structure that makes sense of every product underneath it. Then we supported the product team with animated demos, so people could see the platform at work instead of reading about it.
We also made the product demo films. Underwriting, storm claims, and disability claims, each one narrated and paced so a room full of insurers could follow along, plus a longer film that follows four characters through the whole platform, from a small business owner to the claims handler who helps him. We wanted people watching a story, with the software as the supporting cast.
What we built together
From a pile of old files to one company
- The SapiensAIP launch
A visual identity, product graphics, and a naming structure the whole company could use, plus animated demos for the product team. - A speaker template system
Flexible enough for every session, consistent enough to feel like one event. - Hundreds of rebuilt slides
Old decks brought onto the new brand, with big stats and visuals that make insurance stories easy to follow. - Product demo films
Three narrated demos covering underwriting and claims, plus an end-to-end story that ties the whole platform together. - Event collateral
Print and on-site pieces that carried the new look off the screen and into the room.
The outcome
One Sapiens, everywhere
By the time Ignite opened, the new Sapiens was on stage, on screen, and in people's hands, with a new platform to show alongside it. The brand had its debut, and it looked like it had been ready for years.
The takeaway
A brand is new once everyone's using it.
We've always believed scale and craft can share a room. 700 slides later, we're pretty sure we're right.
